I know it’s fashionable to write flashbacks at the end of year to remember the big things that happened during the last year. So, I decided to take a minute and try to recall the biggest things that happened to me in 2007… And in fact, it took me an hour…

First of all, this year I met Heidi. We spent a lot of time playing games, and understood, that with our entertaining time-passing we can be of some help for many people. We’ve come up with an idea of GAMEGLAMOUR - a concept of an utterly new gaming community. What we’ve got now, is a fast-growing blog, and we’re planning on launching our own portal lately.(More on this - in our next posts). Heidi, WE R-rock!

Then, I met a very special person who’s changed my life(I hope he’ll never read that), and introduced me to a very special cat of Persian breed(see the pic above)…

And lastly,this year was very special, since it has changed the world of the industry of these little family-friendly games. Since the face’s become more beautiful. So, I decided to outline 7 biggest games that changed the gaming world in 2007 - you can check out my list and compare it with your own one.

I don’t like top1o list, I just like 7 and believe this number is lucky.

So, 7 biggest games of 2007 are:

1. Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate. No comment.

2. Wedding Dash - This is a bomb! A terrific viewpoint on wedding. I am on the last level now. Want to make it before the New Year.

3. Hidden Expedition Everest - another proof that big fish games are on top of the world. I got a flavour of every little piece of our planet while playing this game.

4. Dream Day game series by Oberon Games(Dream Day Wedding, Dream Day Honeymoon, and Dream Day First Home). The same wedding game, but this time, a serious and gorgeous version.

5. Turbo Pizza. It just absorbs you the way you absorb pizza. The best diner game of 2007 IMHO.

6. Chocolatier - chocolate makes your brain work better. The easiest and most delicious tycoon game I’ve ever played.

7. Build-a-lot - a tycoon game that makes big and complicated things like real estate business easy and accessible for everyone. Very innovative.

Yes, you’re the owner of pizzeria, and you’re to bake pizzas for the customers. So, serve all the customers in time, bake pizzas, make money to buy upgrades, grow your enterprise and build more pizzerias in the town.

In terms of gameplay it blends elements of many games:

- time-management(since you’ve got to bake pizzas and serve the coming customers in a fixed time);
- match 3 - you’ve got to bake pizzas on the burners. In order to switch the burners of your stove you’ve got to match 3 or more food products that cover the burners;
- mosaic - on some levels you’ll have to fit the pizzas and burgers on the fixed number of burners;

- hidden object levels - on the hidden object levels, your customers will come back to your pizzeria in search of their personal items. And you’re to find them.

Though the graphics could be better, the game grabbed me! I’ve been playing it for two days. I guess this is because the mix of numerous elements turns out to be very absorbing.

10 Tips and Tricks for Pizza Chef

1. Try to match the food items flashing with electric power. Once you perform the match with the item of this type, it will activate all the burners in the same row and column.

2. If your customer gets impatient, give him/her a cup of coffee.

3. If an ice-cream appears on one of the burners, click on it to raise the level of your current customer’s patience.

4. Bake several pizzas or burgers at a time to get a combo bonus.

5. Combo bonuses cause bombs to appear on the burners. Click on a bomb to make it explode. When a bomb goes off, it’ll activate the neighboring burners.

6. In order to activate all your burners, use the battery(a battery box at the bottom of the game screen).

7. The battery can be used only when it is fully recharged. In order to recharge it, try to collect all the pieces of electricity on the playfield.

8. To score better, get upgrades for your business between the levels(I advice you to get the battery upgrades first of all).

9. Buy new pizza recipes. Bigger pizzas will allow you to earn more.10. On hidden object levels, click money scattered around for extra points.

Glamourous, gorgeous, glorious. This is all I can say about Dream Day First Home. Hats off to developers! I think this game is the best embodiment of GameGlamour. It blends stunning design and graphics, soothing musical soundtrack, and smooth storyline.

In case you’re new to the Dream Day game series, all you have to know is this is the epic that depicts life of a married couple. Jenny and Robert were trying to prepare their wedding in the first version of the game(Dream Day Wedding), enjoyed honeymoon full of hidden object adventures(Dream Day Honeymoon) and now, in the third and the latest series of the game - Dream Day First Home, just-married trouble-seekers:) are trying to make their first house a home.

I don’t want to ruin your first impression about the game, so I won’t just reveal the location of every object on every level. Instead, I’ll give you more useful information about the game, so you can enjoy it to the fullest:

1. Dream Day First Home can be played in Software(timed) and Carefree(No time limitation) modes. You can switch between them at any time. The latter is recommended for the players who prefer moderate game pace and don’t want to replay the stages for several times.

2. On a level, be sure to pick GOLDEN NEST EGGS in addition to all the hidden objects. Once you get 3 of them on a stage, you’ll get an extra hint.

3. Hints are gorgeous. Click on one even if you don’t need it. A golden bird will fly out of its nest and show you the hidden item. It’s worth seeing.

4. There is no need finding all items on every room of the stage. The number of clues to find to complete a stage is displayed above the item list.

5. Once you complete a level, you’ll be asked to play one of three Attic puzzles - Fix-R-Upper, Puzzle Garden, Perfect Match. In Fix-R-Upper, you’re to create a design for furniture items. In Puzzle Garden, the point is to find and click two corresponding tiles. In Perfect Match, you’re to click on two identical cards - and they’ll be removed. The point is to clear the playing field.

6. Another gorgeous feature is Choose a Story levels. While playing them, you’re to determine the way the things will go for Jenny and Robert. But no matter how dangerous a story may sound in the beginning, it will always have a happy ending.

7. After you successfully complete Choose a Story level, you’ll be awarded with a time-extending bonus. This is one of the hidden items that you’re to find on your next level in addition to all the items on the list. So, don’t forget to find it.
8. Homeowner Crisis - those levels that are real challenge. The point is to find all the hidden clues as soon as possible.

In the end, I’d like to emphasize on the curing effect that Dream Day First Home had on my nerves. When you please your eye and ear with classical musical tracks, go through glimmering rooms, find hidden clues one by one and watch this astonishing visuals - you just R-E-L-A-X. So, if you’re stressed out with your business, housechores, Xmas shopping, the best thing now is to take a sit, and help Jenny and Robert put everything in order in the cluttered rooms of their First Home. It turns out to be very stess-releaving.

I am downloading this game right now. In a little while I’m surely going to share my impressions on this third installment of the all-time Dream Day hidden object epic(as you remember the previous two prequels were Dream Day Wedding and Dream Day Honeymoon). After the wedding and honeymoon full of hidden object adventures, Jenny and Robert are back to make their first house a home. Can’t wait to play it…

The graphics is gorgeous. Super Granny looks very modern(see the evidence below). But the good-old spirit of the game is preserved.
