Week in Review - The First Games of 2010
January 9th, 2010 by admin
10 days of 2010 have already passed. In this seemingly short period of time, the gaming industry presented a bunch of fresh titles that conquered top 10 lists of the gaming portals quite quickly.
At the end of 2009, Bigfishgames.com started presenting 2 games a day, not just one game a day as their slogan says. Seems like the casual games business keeps on growing with more and more quality game titles being released every day…
Because I am superstitious, I’d like to start our list with something light, sweet, funny, and easy..
Like Alawar’s Farm Frenzy 3: American Pie- the third game of this colorful farming-themed game installment. The point is the same as in the previous versions: the title heroine is the only one to save rundown farms of her relatives. This is why she needs to master a number of new farming devices and time-management techniques to grow and gather crops, manufacture and sell farming products. The third version offers you to enjoy 90 levels of all-new animals, and gizmos and game characters.
Big Fish Games turned out to be much more supersticious than me by releasing a horror game on the first day of 2010. Dark Tales: Edgar Alan Poe’s Murders in the Rue Morgue is a hidden object investigation inspired by the novel by Edgar Alan Poe. Score sinister locations for clues of horrible murder and kidnapping. This game is not for kids and cannot be called a casual game that anybody can play. Some of the moments require strong nerve. So, if you’re very emotional, I don’t recommend you playing this game late at night.
Also, this week another two sequels of great hidden object titles saw the world - Veronica Rivers: The Order of Conspiracy and Youda Legend - The Golden Bird of Paradise
P.S. Today I played a game that was a great source of impressions for me… Want to know how to see great cities of the world as you stay at home with your laptop on? This is going to be a subject of the forthcoming game review…
Keep up with the latest news from GameGlamour and have a great weekend!
