As you play the game, you travel about the city of Chicago gazing into each corner of it - from the most popular landmarks to the darkest corners. Train your memory and attention trying to memorize faces in the darkness and hunting for cleverly hidden clues.Realistic 3D visuals will give you the impression of having a real hidden object hunt. On every level, you’ll be challenged with point-and-click tasks that are relatively easy in comparison to those in other games.As far as hidden object levels are concerned, they offer you classical ispy gameplay. You’ll be looking for hidden clues on a list. However, some of the objects are not named directly, you’ll have to solve a kind of riddle before you understand what object you’re supposed to spot. Like, the riddle “look at yourself” means you’ll have to look for a mirror, or a riddle “don’t go” in a scene inside a limo means that you should be on the lookout for “STOP” road sign.3D graphics create the illusion of the 3D space. IMHO, some of the scenes are a bit dark, but this is okay for the investigation game. Streets and back alleys, zoos and parks, night bars and dress-rooms of Chicago – you’re going to work in all those locations.Because every hidden object scene of the game is a static picture with no animated elements, it may seem a bit monotonous for those used to animated scenes. However, if you’re into classical investigation ispy games – you are going to love it. All the more, a variety of mini-games is what makes the gameplay of Hidden Identity: Chicago Blackout so absorbing. When playing this game - I was looking forward to finishing every HO scene to be able to tackle the next adventure and meet the next challenge.IMHO rating: must try for ispy investigation game fans.
